【Abstract】 The literature concerning the estrous cycle of the Microhis brandti is scanty.We have studied the length of its estrous cycle by comparisons of the smear pattern of the voles.Microtus brandti is seasonally polyestrous animal.Seasonal variations in ferti-lity exist.The average length of the estrous cycle is 6±0.56,7.9±0.66,9.0±0.19 days (Tah.1).The estrous period is very variable in kngth.The average for estrua was 1 days.There is experimental evidence to indicate that the act of copulation hastens the onset of ovulation.The ability of a male odor to induce estrus in females and to synchronize their cycles seems to ezist.更多还原
