【摘要】 本文力图在充分占有史料的基础上,通过对进步主义教育运动从起源、发展到解体的全过程的研究,客观展现这一运动的丰富多样性,阐明运动内在的变化逻辑,分析运动的基本特征,揭示它与现代教育发展的本质联系。本文认为,作为一个由多种趋势构成的有机整体,进步主义教育运动的实质在于,它是一场在现代城市一工业文明的条件下形成的全面的教育革新运动,其目的是最大限度地解放儿童,并通过人性的改善从而促进社会的进步。由于进步主义教育运动触及或提出了一系列现代教育发展所面临的基本和普遍的问题,并为解决这些问题进行了初步的尝试,因而,它在现代教育的历史中留下了深深的印记。更多还原

【Abstract】 The dissertation describes the whole process that the progressive edueation movement, which is one of the most important education movements in history, emerged,developed and finally disintegrated , on the basis of prossessing plenty of historical materials. It reflects authentically the richful varieties of the movement,brings to light its internal logcal changes,analyses its essential characteristics and announces its relationship with the development of modern education. The writer believes, as a unity imposed of various trends,the essence of the progressive education movement is that it was an all-round educational reform which took its shape in the background of modern urban-industrial culture. The aim of the reform was to liberate the children as much as possible and to promote progress of socoty by improving human nature. Since progressive education movement involved or raised a chain of essential general questions which modern education faced during its development and had preliminary attempts to resolve them, so it was a significant landmark in the history of modern education.更多还原
