【摘要】 《旅行杂志》是中国现代第一本旅行类专业刊物,在其存在的23年多时间里,它遵循着“阐扬中国名胜,提倡旅行事业”的宗旨,向广大读者介绍了大量的旅游名胜,在提倡现代旅游,增强人们旅游意识,促进中国旅行事业发展等方面发挥了巨大作用。杂志中蕴涵的大量旅行信息忠实地记录了中国近现代旅行事业的发展历程,成为了研究中国近现代旅游史不可缺少的珍贵资料,在中国近现代旅游史的研究中具有重要地位。 由于中国近现代旅游史尚未受到历史学界和旅游学界专家们的重视,至今还没有人对《旅行杂志》进行过比较系统、深入的研究。因此,为了丰富近现代旅游史的研究内容,拓展中国近现代史的研究领域,作者将《旅行杂志》研究定为自己毕业论文的选题,用上下两篇共八章的内容对其进行了较为全面系统的介绍与分析。 论文第一章,主要探讨了《旅行杂志》创办的宏观与微观背景。文章认为20世纪初中国经济、社会、文化等各方面的发展推动了中国近现代旅行事业的发展,造就了《旅行杂志》产生的宏观社会背景;而上海商业储蓄银行与中国旅行社的发展及其管理理念则为创办《旅行杂志》奠定了坚实的经济和思想基础,并直接影响到杂志今后的发展历程,是杂志创办的微观背景。 论文第二章分析了杂志的创办及发展简况。在第一章背景分析的更多还原

【Abstract】 《China Traveler》 was the first specialty publication in modern China established by China Travel Service, the first special travel service in China. Its tenet was "explain key point of interest in China, advocate travel enterprise."《China Traveler》 was the most important travel magazine to advocate modern tourism in modern China because it introduced large numbers of tourism points and boosted up people’s consciousness. It was a kind of important data for studying tourism history too because the information that was contained in the articles of the magazine noted the modern tourism course trustily.Now, the modern China tourism history hasn’t been touched in the range of tourism research and history research, let alone the China travel service, especially 《China Traveler》 , so, the author selected the magazine as her thesis. According to the importance of the magazine, the author gave a systemic and analysis research to 《China Traveler》, she hoped it would be helpful to the modern tourism history and be abundant in tourism history contents, she also hoped more and more history specialist to study on it in the future.First, this paper analysis the background of the magazine, including two aspects: one was the social circumstances of modern China. Tourismwas a kind of products of the economy, society and culture’s development, so this paper analysis the circumstances aiming for the special history of the modern China. In the modern times, the condition of the developing tourism wasn’t very well, but it was still on an even keel, so the modern tourism has been a better evolution, and has established a pedestal for the founding of China Traveled Another one was the proximate background, that was the Shanghai Business Bank and the China Travel Service, because the ((China Traveled had a immediate relationship to them, their development degree provided a economic base, especially the management’s thought provided an idea base for the magazine, and leaded to the magazine’s evolution.In the second chapter, the situation of its promotion and development has been introduced simply. First, the reason that the magazine has been originated has been analyzed, that included: realized China Travel Service’s service tenet; propagandized Shanghai Business Savings Bank and China Travel Service; issue qualification be provided; infection of the foreign travel service and so on. On the ground of the modern history condition the four evolution phases of the magazine have been divided just as its generation, development, hardship and recession. In this paper, the compilation situation of the every phase has been recommended, including the, length, cover, paper, and so on. Because the special number and the special period weren’t the fixture contents in themagazine, and they were a character of the magazine, they were recommended alone here.Third one, the author, manuscript, the reader, the issuance, and the other conditions have been introduced in the paper. It hoped to give expression to something of the magazine, for example, the reason and the degree that the reader was fond of the magazine, the reader’s expectation and the travel need in modern times. The manifold issue policy that the China Travel Service had adopted has been expatiated too.The articles, the magazine’s contents and other periodicals have been reflected in the next part of the paper.In the sixth chapter, in accordance with the qualification of the travel specialty periodical, this paper gave a statistics and classification to all articles, and presented them in light of travelogue, travel corporation, travel theory, abroad travel undertaking and others (including advertisement, drawing and fiction and so on).
