数字电视终端软件和MPEG-7应用技术研究

【摘要】 近几年来,在全球范围内形成了日益增长的数字电视市场;我国以模拟技术为基础的传统广播影视体制,正向以数字、网络技术为基础的新体制过渡,蕴含着巨大市场空间的数字电视产业正在形成;国际上数字电视机顶盒产品不断推陈出新,并拥有越来越广泛的用户。国内的众多数字电视终端产品开发单位都面临新的机遇与挑战。在这样的市场背景下,作者结合自己在机顶盒产品开发项目中的任务,完成了以下三方面的研究工作:基于MPEG-7的PDR高级功能的研究与设计;数字电视终端通用软件框架设计;数字电视相关产品(信号源与机顶盒)的开发。本论文的主要创新点为:提出了基于MPEG-7的广告节目描述方案,实现了广告节目的个人化收视。PVR可以实现跳过节目中广告部分的功能,但这一功能会影响节目提供商的广告收入,因此造成了节目提供商与PVR用户的矛盾。本项研究能够使广告节目的播出和收视更有针对性,从而可以同时满足节目提供商与电视观众两方面的要求。提出了统一节目资源管理方案。该方案比现有的PVR产品中采用的方案更符合观众收视习惯。在该方案的基础上,实现了预约视频点播和预约节目录制,比现有方案的实现效率更高。向数字电视中间件标准的实现方案中增加了MPEG-7描述信息解析模块,可支持未来各种利用描述信息实现的高级应用。

【Abstract】 Recently, the global market of digital TV has been growing up rapidly. In China, the traditional analog TV broadcasting system is transiting to the new system based on digital and network technologies. The national DTV industry that has a vast market is coming into being. In the world, the products of DTV set-top box weed through the old to bring forth the new and gain more and more users with different backgrounds. As a result, in our country the manufacturers, companies and scientific & technological circles being engaged in developing DTV terminal products, are faced with new opportunities and challenges.Against this market background, according to the job in the STB developing project, the author completed the works in the following three aspects.Design of the advanced functions for PDR based on MPEG-7 standard.Design of the generic software framework for DTV terminals.Development of DTV related products (MPEG-2 TS generator and STB).Three main innovations introduced in this dissertation are as follows.A description scheme based on MPEG-7 for commercial advertising program is proposed and the personalized viewing of advertisements is realized. PVR can help viewers to skip the advertisements in TV programs. However, this function will decrease the incoming of the broadcasters from advertising. It invokes the contradiction between broadcasters and PVR users. The scheme studied makes the broadcasting and viewing of advertisements achieve respective aims well and meet the demands of both the broadcasters and viewers.A unified program resource managing scheme is proposed. It accords with viewers’ habits better than the corresponding schemes currently used for PVR products do. Scheduled video-on-demand and scheduled recording that are based on the scheme also have better performances than that of the existing schemes.An MPEG-7 metadata parser is designed and supplemented to the implementation of DTV middleware standard. It will support future advanced applications based on metadata.
